"THE FOREST LAYERS" PROJECT
This project is a quiet dialogue between design, context and heritage.

The Challenge
The house had a strong identity and a unique natural setting, but the interior lacked cohesion. The challenge was to respect its character while introducing a clear design direction. We needed to balance mid-century references with contemporary elements without losing the calm atmosphere of the space.
Design solution
We approached the project by building layers. Then, reintroduced Dutch mid-century pieces to anchor the space and preserve its essence. Finally, we added contrast through bold visual elements, including pop art by Romero Britto and a selection of collected objects. Each element was placed with intention to create a composition that feels balanced and personal.
Materials
Natural wood
Textured fabrics
Neutral-toned textiles
Glass and metal accents
Result
The result is a composed interior that feels both timeless and expressive. The space maintains its connection to the surrounding forest while introducing character through art and curated elements. Each layer adds depth, creating a calm yet distinctive atmosphere.
