Sweet Dreams is a 35-square-metre studio located in Ocotal Beach, Costa Rica. Originally rented as an Airbnb for five years, the property was poised for the real estate market. Our goal was to transform it into a versatile, comfortable residence that maximises storage and provides a serene, private retreat.

The challenge
The main challenge was to create a multifunctional living space while increasing storage and designing a private relaxation area insulated from external noise, all within a compact 35-square-metre layout.

Design solution
We reimagined the studio as a flexible, multifunctional home that balances style and comfort. By updating the colour palette and carefully selecting materials, we preserved the owners’ vision while enhancing usability. The design creates distinct zones for living, sleeping, and relaxation, ensuring a sense of calm and order.

Result
Sweet Dreams now functions as a versatile, stylish, and comfortable residence. Storage solutions, noise insulation, and a thoughtful colour palette work together to provide a tranquil retreat, while maintaining the studio’s multifunctional charm and original character.
